In a stunning display of skill and strategy, Marcus Stoinis led LSG to a remarkable victory in a record-breaking 211-run chase against CSK at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Tuesday.

In the previous three games, no team had managed to defeat CSK at Chepauk this season. No team has arrived and pursued the 211.

In the same match, LSG achieved a remarkable feat, thanks to an outstanding century by Marcus Stoinis.

In the recent match, LSG won the toss and made the strategic decision to bowl first against CSK.

In their recent encounter in Lucknow, KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock showcased an exceptional opening partnership that ultimately made all the difference. This outstanding performance allowed LSG to join CSK at eight points in the IPL standing.

CSK put up an impressive total of 210/4 against LSG, thanks to Ruturaj Gaikwad's unbeaten 108 and Shivam Dube's explosive half-century filled with sixes.

Stoinis hit the first over long-on and then drilled the next straight back for four, needing 17 runs from the last over.

The next one raced to the right of short third, benefiting from a stroke of luck. With Fizz's overstep, the equation was reduced to just two runs needed from four balls.

To complete the scoring, Stoinis crossed across and dribbled a short ball over the backward square leg.

Stoinis has surpassed Paul Valthaty's 2011, 120* against CSK to hold the record for the highest individual score in an IPL chase, according to Sampath.

With 10 points from eight games, LSG is currently ranked fourth on the points table as a consequence of the outcome. CSK drops to the fifth position in the rankings.
