Turkish President Erdogan emphasises the importance of preventing the recent tension between Iran and Israel while meeting the head of Hamas.

The Turkish president emphasised the importance of diverting attention away from the recent developments in Israel's tension with Iran and instead focusing on the situation of Palestinians in Gaza during his meeting with the head of Hamas, according to Anadolu Agency.

According to the Turkish Communications Directorate, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has highlighted the importance of preventing events from strengthening Israel and has called for renewed attention to Gaza. Tensions between Israel and Iran are being assessed, prompting further scrutiny of Israel's attacks on Gaza by the West.

In a meeting held in Istanbul, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, discussed the ongoing offensive by Israel on Palestinian territories, with a particular focus on the Gaza Strip, according to a statement from the directorate.

Turkish President Erdogan has strongly condemned Israel's treatment of Palestinians, warning that there will be consequences for their actions. He emphasised that Turkey will persist in shedding light on the Israeli attacks in Gaza through various channels.

Turkish President Erdogan emphasised that Turkey is fully committed to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, which he believes is crucial for achieving lasting peace in the region.

The directorate reported that President Erdogan emphasized Türkiye's ongoing humanitarian aid to Palestine, aiming to alleviate some of its sufferings.

According to reports, an impressive 45,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid have been dispatched to the region since last October. In addition, the statement revealed that several sanctions have been imposed on Israel, including trade limitations.

Egypt's foreign minister has called for the opening of six Israeli crossings with Gaza, according to reports. The move comes as tensions continue to rise in the region.

Ankara is actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to bring attention to the oppression experienced by Palestinians, according to Erdogan.

He emphasised the critical importance of an immediate and enduring ceasefire to halt the violence, consistently bringing attention to this issue.

Erdogan emphasised the crucial role of unity and solidarity among Palestinians as the most effective response and path to victory against Israel.

Israel is facing serious allegations of genocide as the case is brought before the International Court of Justice. In a ruling issued in January, Tel Aviv was ordered to cease genocidal acts and ensure that humanitarian aid is provided to civilians in Gaza.
