Champions League: Real Madrid beat Man City to reach semis

In a nail-biting Champions League clash, Real Madrid emerged victorious over Manchester City, securing a spot in the semifinals.

The match was a battle of endurance, with Madrid withstanding a barrage of shots.

In the end, they clinched a 4-3 win on penalties, eliminating Manchester City at the Etihad.

Rodrygo gave the visitors a scoring lead ten minutes into the game, but Man City's Kevin De Bruyne also smashed the ball in to make it even on the field and the aggregate at 1-1 and 4-4, respectively.

Madrid managed to hold their nerve and win the game on penalties, with Lunin denying Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic.

City lost at home for the first time since the 2018 season, but Madrid held the champions by a heroic effort on their back line, despite the European champions' 34 attempts on goal.

Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham said it is so difficult. They don't stop moving around the ball and continually switch places so that the ball reaches the other player when you do not expect that.

It happens most of the time with rivals who could drop their heads out as they confirm that they will lose City, but our team was resilient, and we put up a good fight.

Carletto Ancelotto's men stitched that script on Wednesday. They started well and got what they needed in the first goal.

Overall, the nail-biting match kept the audience on the edge of their seats until the end.
