A tourist was found dead by a cleaner at a popular British tourist destination

A tourist was discovered dead in a pool of blood at a holiday rental in Gran Canaria.

Local media reports on the Spanish island have presented conflicting information regarding the man's nationality. Some sources claim he is Irish, while others suggest he is British. Police stated that they were unable to confirm the nationality of the tourist.

To safeguard the integrity of the ongoing investigation, a judge has issued a secrecy order on the case. As a result, public officials cannot provide any specific information regarding the probe. 

The apartment block where the unfortunate incident occurred was identified as the Colina Mar complex, situated in the picturesque resort of Puerto Rico in the municipality of Mogan, located in the southern part of the island. Reports indicate that he may have sustained a head injury, possibly from a blow or fall.

According to a statement from a source in the Civil Guard, there were indications of violence, although the final results of the autopsy are still pending. A cleaner discovered the lifeless body of a man while attempting to enter the flat, prompting her to sound the alarm. There was another person in the room when the police arrived, who is believed to have travelled to the island with the individual. Reports suggest that he was "completely disoriented" amidst speculation that he may have been under the influence of drugs.
