Sources close to the player informed Reuters on Monday that Vinicius Jr, the talented forward from Real Madrid and Brazil, is reportedly receptive to a potential offer exceeding one billion euros from Saudi Arabia.

Vinicius, a 24-year-old football player, has been approached by officials from the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), who are interested in his potential move to the Saudi Pro League (SPL).

They have offered him a lucrative five-year contract worth approximately 200 million euros per season, including fixed payments and bonuses.

As part of the package, there is also the possibility of a separate 10-year contract to serve as an ambassador for the upcoming 2034 World Cup, which will take place in the country. However, the specific details regarding this contract's terms and financial aspects have yet to be finalised.

Vinicius has not dismissed the move and has permitted PIF to approach Real Madrid, although an official, formal offer has yet to be presented.

Although content and driven in the Spanish capital, Vinicius and his representatives feel that a lucrative offer of this nature warrants careful consideration.

According to another individual familiar with the situation, Real Madrid does not intend to engage in transfer negotiations, emphasising the player's one billion euro buy-out clause.

No response was received from Real Madrid and PIF despite multiple requests for comment.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has recently made a significant move towards establishing itself as a prominent football force. To be taken seriously in the sport, the country has unveiled the Sports Clubs Investment and Privatisation Project.

Under this initiative, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) will acquire a majority stake of 75% in the capital of the nation's four leading clubs: Al Ahli, Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, and Al Nassr.

In a significant transfer move, Al Hilal, the most successful club in Saudi Arabia, made headlines by acquiring forward Neymar from Paris St Germain for a staggering 90 million euros.

PIF made attempts to convince France captain Kylian Mbappe to join Al Ahli, filling the void left by the absence of big-name players like Karim Benzema at Al Ittihad and Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.

In June, the forward rejected Saudi's lucrative offer and signed with Real Madrid instead.

Reports suggest that the proposed deal for Vinicius resembles the offer made for Mbappe. A Brazilian player is set to join Al Ahli, where he will play alongside former Premier League stars Riyad Mahrez and Roberto Firmino.

Vinicius, whose contract runs until 2027 following his extension in 2022, is a strong candidate for the prestigious Ballon d'Or accolade, which recognizes the world's top player. His contributions instrumentalised Real's triumph in the Champions League and La Liga last season.
