Taylor Swift Plays “You’re Losing Me” Live For The First Time, Donates $100K To Family Of Radio DJ Killed In Chiefs Parade Shooting

Melbourne Cricket Ground hosted Taylor Swift's inaugural Australian Eras Tour performance on Friday. "Red" and "You're Losing Me," a bonus track from her Grammy-winning Album of the Year Midnights, were the set's surprises.

During the performance, she discussed her upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department, which was revealed earlier this month. "I needed to make Tortured Poets more than any other album I've ever made," the artist remarked. For me, it truly served as a lifeline. Only the experiences I was having and the topics I was writing about. It reminded me why song writing helps me get by in life.

She performed a medley of "Getaway Car," "August," and "The Other Side of the Door" on her second night in Melbourne, with the surprise song being "this is me trying."

Swift also gave $100,000 to the family of radio DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the only person killed in Wednesday'sKansas City Chiefs victory parade shooting, on Friday.

Before performing at her first Melbourne show, Swiftdonated $50,000 each to Lopez-Galvan's family's GoFundMe page. She wrote in the note, "Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss." "From Taylor Swift, with love."

The pop star's representative verified to USA TODAY that she had made the donations. Swift's partner, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, also contributed $100,000 to a GoFundMe set up for Lopez-Galvan's sisters, ages eight and ten, who are among the 23 injured. There are two young people under arrest for the mass shooting.
