Russian forces captured another eastern Ukraine village

In a recent development, Russia announced on Sunday that it had successfully taken control of yet another village in south-eastern Ukraine.


The village, strategically located in the Donetsk region, marks another significant advancement in the ongoing conflict, which has entered its third year.

 

The Russian defense ministry announced in its daily report that units from the Vostok troops had captured the village of Urozhaine in the Donetsk region.

 

In 2023, Ukraine managed to reclaim the village as part of its offensive, marking a significant victory.

 

Since the failed Ukrainian counter-offensive, Russia has been steadily gaining territory in eastern Ukraine.


The counter-offensive, launched in [specific month and year], faced challenges for [specific reasons]. Kyiv's troops are now facing challenges with shortages of munitions and workforce.

 

In May, Russian troops launched an offensive in the north-east Kharkiv region.

These regions, which Russia claims to have annexed but only partially occupied, remain a contention between the two nations. Kyiv and its Western backers have resolutely rejected these demands.
