Prof. Muhammad Yunus prioritises human rights and free expression

In a statement on Tuesday, the chief adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, emphasized that the interim government's primary objective is to prioritize human rights and uphold freedom of speech for all individuals.

Ensuring the establishment of human rights and freedom of speech is crucial. During his visit to the Dhakeswari National Temple, he emphasized that achieving this goal is paramount."

The Hindu community was encouraged to embrace their shared humanity and recognize their connection to the land.

As individuals, we assert our humanity and proudly identify ourselves as citizens of Bangladesh. It is our fundamental right, enshrined in the Constitution, and we expect you to uphold and protect it. "You simply insist on this and nothing more," he stated.

In a firm statement, he emphasized equality before the law, asserting that no distinctions should be made.

"We are "all equal, and there is no room for creating divisions," he states.

He called on everyone to work with the interim government to establish the rule of law in Bangladesh.

"We kindly request your assistance in determining whether or not we can achieve this. Let's exercise patience and evaluate the situation at a later time." If we are unable to accomplish that, hold us accountable. According to him, that is the most critical aspect.
