The Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, made her public appearance after her major surgery. The 42-year-old princess was seen in her mother Carole Middleton's car.
This is the first significant indication that Kate is healing nicely after her 16 January abdominal surgery. A witness stated that Kate's mother was driving her, and it was a lovely sunny day. The Princess was sitting in the passenger seat and wearing dark sunglasses, but looked well as the two women were talking with one another.
On Monday, someone in the public saw Kate in the vehicle in Berkshire. She has been staying at the Windsor, Berks, house.
She was released on 29 January after the scheduled operation, and it is anticipated that she won't resume her Royal responsibilities until after Easter.
The Palace said that Kate will likely need between two and three months for recovery. At that time, Prince William also opted out of all of his public tasks while his wife was in the hospital and for a short time after she got home.
While being with Kate, William took care of their children, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5. He went back to work on 7 February after taking a few weeks off. Kate was able to take an extended getaway to their home in Norfolk with Prince William and their three kids last month during the school break. Since then, she hasn't been seen in public.
After the King Charles was told he had cancer, the Wales family could spend time with him at his close Sandringham estate.
