Mushfiqur speaks out on Shakib's murder charges

During the Rawalpindi Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan, cricketer Shakib Al Hasan found himself embroiled in a murder case. One hundred fifty-six individuals, including former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, have been implicated.

Mushfiqur Rahim, who has been playing alongside Shakib since their age-level cricket days, has vehemently denied these allegations, calling them false.

In a bold move, he took to his Facebook page to express his outrage over the 'false case' filed against Shakib Al Hasan on Monday.

Shakib's achievement as the leading wicket-taker among left-arm spinners deserves congratulations.

Reiterating my sentiment once more, I must let you know that I am very proud to be able to play alongside Shakib, an exceptional talent. He is truly a champion in every sense of the word.

In a heartfelt statement, he expressed his unwavering support for his teammate and brother, vowing to stand by him through thick and thin. He vehemently denied the false allegations, firmly believing that his loved one would never partake in any form of inhumane behaviour. "We stand by you, my friend."

In a show of solidarity, senior Test player Mominul Haque took to Facebook to express his support for Shakib Al Hasan. According to his statement,

Shakib Al Hasan has represented the country for nearly 18 years. Seeing the number of matches he has won for his country is impressive! He is now facing allegations in what appears to be a fabricated case!
