The Bangladesh police arrested a teenager in connection with the murder of Abu Sayeed, a student at Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur.

For the past 12 days, the accused has been imprisoned in the Rangpur jail.

According to the birth certificate, the teenager in question is currently 16 years and 10 months old. Despite his claims, the police have identified him as a 19-year-old.

The alleged student is an 11th-grade student at Police Lines School And College, Rangpur.

In an interview with TGE, the vice principal (administration) of Police Lines School and College, Rangpur, confirmed that the student in question is indeed a student at their institution.

Last Wednesday, he discovered the shocking news of his arrest and subsequent imprisonment.

The victim's father owns a studio in the Park intersection area of the city.

In an interview with TGE, he revealed that Abu Sayeed met his demise on July 16th. On July 18th, at noon, his son ventured out. A man found himself caught amid a heated confrontation between protesters and the police in the Modern Mor area of the city.

Reports indicate that the individual received injuries to his legs as a result of an encounter with law enforcement. The reason for his inability to escape became apparent. That night, the police reached out to him with the news that his son was in police custody.

According to the police, his son is expected to be released tomorrow. Surprisingly, rather than taking the expected course of action, the police opted to incarcerate him.

As per sources from the Rangpur court, the teenager has been arrested in connection with the case involving the murder of Abu Sayeed.

The teenager was then brought before the Tajhat Amli Court in the city. A verdict was reached, and he was subsequently sentenced to jail.

Multiple video recordings capture the moment when Abu Sayeed was fatally shot at close range by the police.

Abu Sayeed stood alone before the police, his hands outstretched, clutching a stick, as the police opened fire upon him. Shortly after, he fell to the ground.

Rajibul Islam, the chief assistant professor of the forensic department at Rangpur Medical College, conducted the autopsy of Abu Sayeed.

According to reports, Abu Sayeed's abdomen and chest were found to be filled with pellets.

Based on the video footage, it is evident that the responsibility for Abu Sayeed's death lies with the police. What led to the arrest of a teenager in connection with the death of Abu Sayeed? What led to the teenager being referred to as a 19-year-old? The police were unable to provide any answers to these questions.

According to sub-inspector Zillur Rahman of Tajhat police station, there was no opportunity to verify the individual's age during the arrest. It was later discovered that the teenager was approximately 17 years old.

According to the teenager's father, his son is not engaged in criminal activities. In a surprising turn of events, the police have officially arrested him in connection with the case involving the tragic death of Abu Sayeed.

According to him, he received information about his son's illness. He visited the prison three times alongside the family. Regrettably, the authorities refused to grant them access to their son.

In an interview, Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Moniruzzaman revealed that he became aware of the incident yesterday afternoon after it was brought to his attention via social media. Efforts are being made to address the issue through legal means.

During the court proceedings, the teenager was accompanied by a team of lawyers, including Abdul Moqsud, Zobaidul Islam Abu Taher Ali, Raihan Kabir, Rokonuzzaman Rokon, and Palash Kanti Nag.

The lawyers submitted all the required documents, including the boy's birth certificate.

In an interview with TGE, the lawyer representing the teenager, Abdul Moksed Bahalul, stated, "We have provided all the necessary evidence, including my client's birth certificate, and have filed an appeal for his release on July 30th." The appeal hearing is scheduled for August 4th.

On August 1st, the court approved bail for the teenager who was taken into custody in connection with the murder of Abu Sayeed, a student at Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur.
